This task was to find items to relate to life in Spitalfields. I drifted off task a little, maybe... The area of Spitalfields is such a historically rich place, which extends even further back in history to before it was Spitalfields. Any event in London's history has built it into being what it is today. So, even Roman London and medieval times, for me is Spitalfields. Spitalfields is London. Working class, immigrants, the people who have built London.
